Annie Winston
Annie Winston is a single mom of three children, a graduate of UC Berkeley and a school teacher. Heroical Storicals Daniel Boone and the Battle of Boonesborough is her first published novel. In fall
of 2007, a second book, Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad, will be available in hardcover published by SonShip Press.
Annie is a former Wrigley Doublemint twin and has appeared as a national spokesperson for national and international commercials.
She has also been featured in several television shows and movies of the week.
Annie speaks to thousands of elementary students every year about her work as an author. She enthusiastically inspires students to see history as fun and interesting. Annie also encourages students to develop good habits in reading and writing, and she emphasizes the importance of good character in becoming an excellent student and citizen.
